1. Acceptance of Terms
By using this website or, if made available, downloading, installing, or using Recipe Pro ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the website or App.
2. Description of Service
Recipe Pro is being developed as a mobile app for AI-generated recipe ideas based on ingredients people have. Public release availability and timing have not been announced. The website currently offers a launch waitlist; joining it does not create an app account, constitute a purchase, or guarantee access or availability.
If and when app features are made available, they may include:
- Discover recipes based on available ingredients
- Generate AI-powered custom recipes
- Plan weekly meals with nutritional goals
- Create and manage shopping lists
- Track dietary preferences and nutritional information
3. Account Registration
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Be responsible for all activities under your account
4. Subscription Plans
4.1 Available Plans
The website does not currently offer a subscription. If app subscriptions or paid features are offered after release, available plans, prices, billing periods, included features, and usage limits will be shown in the app or applicable app store before purchase.
4.2 Billing
- Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
- Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your device's app store settings
4.3 Free Generations
New accounts receive 12 free generation credits to try Recipe Pro. Create uses one credit per recipe-generation session, including its background recipes. A full meal plan uses three credits. Credits are deducted when the generated-results screen opens, not while generation is running. This is not a time-based free trial of Gold. Using free generation credits does not start a paid subscription or automatically convert your account to Gold. After your free credits are used, you may choose to purchase a Gold subscription to keep generating recipes.
5. Fair Use and Usage Limits
5.1 Monthly Generation Limits (Gold)
To ensure fair access for all subscribers and manage infrastructure costs, Gold accounts are subject to the following monthly limits:
- Recipe generations: 80 sessions per monthly subscription period
- Meal plan generations: 10 per monthly subscription period
For paid Gold subscriptions, these limits reset on your monthly subscription renewal date, as verified by the app store. Restoring a purchase or reinstalling the app does not reset your allowances. The vast majority of users will never approach these limits. If your household regularly exceeds them, please contact us — we're happy to discuss higher-volume options.
5.2 Recipe Caching
To improve performance and reduce costs, recipe results for identical ingredient searches may be served from a temporary cache for up to 24 hours. Cached results are identical in quality to freshly generated ones. This does not count against your monthly generation limit.
5.3 Rate Limits
To prevent abuse, generation requests are subject to per-hour rate limits. Gold subscribers may make up to 80 generation requests per hour; free users up to 25 per hour.
6. Account Security and Device Policy
6.1 Household Use Only
Recipe Pro accounts are intended for personal and household use only. Sharing your account credentials with individuals outside your household is prohibited. "Household" means people residing at the same primary address.
6.2 Device Limit
Each account may be actively used on up to 3 devices. When a new device signs in, it is registered to the account. If the 3-device limit is reached, additional devices will be blocked until an existing device is removed. To manage your registered devices, contact chef@recipepro.io.
6.3 Account Sharing Enforcement
We monitor for unusual access patterns that suggest account sharing outside the household. Accounts found to be in violation may be suspended or terminated without refund.
7. AI-Generated Content
Recipe Pro uses artificial intelligence to generate recipes. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated recipes are suggestions and may not always be accurate
- Nutritional information is an estimate and may be incomplete or inaccurate; check it against reliable sources
- We are not responsible for adverse reactions to AI-suggested recipes
- Dietary preferences and ingredient blacklists are not allergy-safety controls or certification; people with food allergies must carefully review the entire recipe and product labels
8. User Responsibilities
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the App
- Share your account credentials with others
- Abuse or exploit the AI recipe generation system
- Upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
9. Intellectual Property
All content in Recipe Pro, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Recipe Pro or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.
Recipes you create and save belong to you, and you grant us a license to store and display them within the App.
10. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services including:
- OpenAI for recipe generation
- Third-party grocery services, if offered; production approval for Instacart ordering is pending
- RevenueCat for subscription management
Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
Recipe Pro is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:
- The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
- Recipes will meet your specific dietary or nutritional needs
- Nutritional information is complete or exact
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Recipe Pro shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the App.
13. Health Disclaimer
Recipe Pro is not a substitute for professional medical or nutritional advice. Always consult with a healthcare provider before making significant dietary changes, especially if you have health conditions, allergies, or are pregnant.
14. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
